HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Cougars scored their first goal of the game in the 11th minute. A run by Olivia Jarrell down the left flank turned into a cross met by Nicole Corcione who was arriving in the box. Corcione found the back of the net to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead over the Falcons.
-In the second half, Jarrell found goal for Columbus State in the 53rd minute to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead. Jarrell had a fantastic solo run down the left side and capped it off with her ninth goal of the season.
-Cassandra Wade scored the third goal in the 76th minute. Hugrun Elvarsdottir sent in a ball from the right side and found an unmarked Wade at the edge of the box who fired in to push the lead to 3-0.
-Delany Borror's 88th minute finish from close range added a bit of padding to the score as the Cougars capped off the 4-0 victory.
STAT OF THE GAME
--The Falcon's defense limited a potent Cougar offensive attack that ranks at the top of the PBC to only 23 shots in today's game. Ellie Mouyal also had 12 saves on the night for the Falcons.

The Falcons take on Lander on Saturday at Varsity Field. Before the game, the Falcons will honor its seniors who will play their final home game at Montevallo. The final home game kicks off at 5 p.m.
