HOW IT HAPPENED
Montevallo took an early advantage in the first set, but fell 25-17 after Julia Forster and Shawn Hotson led the Pacers' comeback.
The Falcons responded with a 25-21 second set to tie the match at 1-1. Junior Kristy Bohan spearheaded a six-point run that helped Montevallo pull away in the set.
Taylor Stratton was brought off of the bench in the third set and recorded 12 kills on the game to help the Pacers claim the final two sets. Both sets went past 25 points and were back and forth contests.
After a 27-25 third-set win, USC Aiken held off the Falcons' comeback in the fourth set. USC Aiken won 28-26 to prevent a fifth set thanks to defensive work, led by Danielle Mercer with 26 digs.
The Peach Belt Conference leaders were pushed to the limit by the Falcons, who played in front of their home crowd for the final time this season. Junior Grace Harris registered a career-high 34 kills, but the Falcons' effort wasn't enough to keep the Pacers from a 14th successive victory.
STAT OF THE GAME
Junior Kristy Bohan led the team in kills with 19 in the game. Her 422 kills leads all Peach Belt conference players this season. Junior Brie Blume continues to lead the conference in service aces. Blume's five aces on the day takes her to 67 on the year.
BEYOND THE NUMBERS
The Falcons honored the departing seniors in Breana Thomas, Hannah Christie and Chandler Cooper. Cooper had 15 kills in her final game to take her to 229 on the year. Christie had another impressive day at setter. Her 47 assists take her to 888 on the season as she posted her 12th double-double this year.

Montevallo will travel to Milledgeville, Georgia to take on Georgia College on Tuesday, November 8. The Peach Belt Conference match is set to start at 6 p.m. Central.
