HOW IT HAPPENED
After dropping the first match of the season against the Falcons 3-1, the Bobcats returned the favor with a 3-1 victory over Montevallo on their home court.
Georgia College used a 14-6 run midway through the opening set to record a 25-20 win over the Falcons in the frame. Montevallo stormed back with a  6-0 run started with a kill by junior Kristy Bohan to trim the deficit to 19-17 before the Bobcats pulled away down the stretch.
The Bobcats broke things open in a tight second set with a 5-1 run midway through the frame and held off Montevallo down the stretch for another 25-20 win. A service ace by freshman Michaela Henderson temporarily gave the Falcons a 18-17 lead late in the frame before Georgia College ended the set with a 8-2 run.
Montevallo stormed out to a 6-0 lead early in the third set and the Falcons coasted to a 25-14 win in the frame. Sophomore Shannon Dudley provided the final two kills for the Falcons down the stretch to close out the win in the set.
Georgia College clinched the match with a 25-21 win in the fourth set. The Bobcats opened the frame with a 5-1 run. Dudley registered a kill to give Montevallo a 17-16 lead later in the set, but it turned out to be the last time the Falcons led in the frame.
STAT OF THE GAME
Sophomore Brie Blume registered the first double-double of her career as she finished with a career-high 11 kills to go along with 19 digs. Senior Hannah Christie recorded her 13th double-double of the year with 44 assists and 15 digs in the match.

Montevallo will travel to Columbus, Georgia to take on Columbus State University in its final Peach Belt Conference match of the regular season Friday, Nov. 11. The Falcons need a win to remain in the hunt for a bid to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. First serve is set for 7 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. Central.
