HOW IT HAPPENED
- Montevallo scored its only two runs in the top of the seventh inning in the first game of the doubleheader as senior Jeremy Hyde reached on an infield single before scoring on an error by the Hurricanes and senior Taylor Walker reached on an infield single before scoring on a RBI single to center field by sophomore Chad Wagner.
- Freshman Jamison Roney (3-1) suffered his first defeat after allowing three earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts and three walks in seven innings.
- The Falcons plated one run in the top of the fourth inning in the nightcap when junior Daniel Pardo scored on a RBI single to left field by Dominic DeVille.
- Montevallo scored its final run in the top of the fifth inning when junior Dane Hutcheon scored on an infield single by Hyde.
- The Falcons entered the bottom of the ninth inning trailing 3-2 before a five-run inning sealed the victory for the Falcons.
- Hutcheon scored on a game-tying RBI double down the right-field line by senior Taylor Walker before Pardo gave Montevallo the lead for good when he plated Walker and sophomore Collin Dupree with a two-run double down the left-field line.

Junior Dominic DeVille provided a lift in the Falcons' series-clinching 7-4 win over the Hurricanes as he finished 3-for-5 at the plate and drove in three runs in the nightcap.
