- The Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when junior Dane Hutcheon reached on a single to right field before scoring on a RBI single to right field by fellow junior Daniel Pardo.
- USC Aiken took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning following a three-run homer by Brian Parreira.
- A run-scoring single to left-center field by Jonathan Banks extended the Pacers lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning.
- The Pacers took a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning on a RBI single to left field by Skylar Mercado.
- Montevallo trimmed the Pacers' lead to 5-3 in the top of the seventh inning when sophomore Chad Wagner reached on a single to right field and scored on an error by USC Aiken before freshman J.D. Minor, who reached on a walk, scored as senior Jeremy Hyde grounded into a double play.
