HOW IT HAPPENED
- North Georgia took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a two-run homer to left field by Trevor Sams.
- The Nighthawks pushed their lead to 4-0 in the top of the fourth inning on a two-run blast to left-center field by Steven Tomlinson.
- Montevallo plated two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning when senior Taylor Walker led off the frame with a single to center field before scoring a two-run single to left field by freshman Tyler Krabbe.
- A RBI sacrifice fly by Sams in the top of the fifth inning pushed the Nighthawks' lead to 5-2.
- The Falcons tied the game in the bottom of the fifth inning at 5-5 on RBI singles by Walker and junior Daniel Pardo and a RBI fielder's choice by senior Thomas Bradey.
- North Georgia took a 6-5 lead in the top of the seventh inning on a RBI single by Sams.

Freshman Jamison Roney finished one strikeout shy of his career high with five punch outs while giving up five earned runs on three hits in 4 1/3 innings on the mound.
Montevallo has at least clinched the No. 6 seed in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. The Falcons could move up one spot to No. 5 based on the remainder of the conference schedule next weekend.
