TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team recently earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) team academic award and five members of the team received individual academic honors from the association.

The Falcons earned the award after the team collectively earned a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average during the 2015-16 academic year. Montevallo has earned the team academic award in both seasons under head coach Adam Albertson.

Freshmen Emily Beatty, Julia Berg, Alice Copland, Alina Munteanu and Rayne Sinclair all earned individual academic honors from the ITA. Each of the five freshman had a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 or above during the 2015-16 academic year.
