HOW IT HAPPENED

-Montevallo jumped out to a quick two-set lead after a dominant start by Chandler Cooper and Kristy Bohan.

-Georgia College dominated the third set and won comfortably 25-14 to force a fourth set.

-The Falcons won their first four set match after a back and forth ending. The Falcons and Bobcats were tied throughout the whole set before a late Montevallo resurgence helped them over the finish line.

-Freshman Brioni Dixon scored the last two points to clinch the victory in the first Peach Belt Conference matchup of the season for Coach Katie O'Brien's team. The Falcons won the final set 25-23 to stave off the Georgia College comeback.

-Bohan put in another fantastic performance with 19 kills, six digs, four service aces and two solo blocks in the four-set victory.

STAT OF THE GAME

Senior Hannah Christie led both teams in assists, notching an incredible 44 in another great performance at setter. The senior also added three kills and nine digs in the match.

UP NEXT

The Falcons are back in action Saturday, Sept. 17 with the second conference game in as many days. Augusta University comes to Trustmark Arena and the first serve is set for 1 p.m.
