HOW IT HAPPENED

The Falcons opened the first period with a 10-2 run that was fueled by back-to-back three-pointers from Haven Albright.  After the hot start, the Falcons offense stalled as the Pacers cut the lead to two points with 3:56 left in the period.  With 1:59 left to play in the period the Pacers took their first lead
(15-13) of the game with a jump shot by Carly Gilreath.  Montevallo ended the opening period with the lead, thanks to a layup from Tori Pharr with 12 seconds remaining to end the period up 17-15.

After entering the second period with the lead, the Falcons surrendered the lead off a Pacer 3-pointer, USC Aiken never gave up the lead the rest of the game. Montevallo got as close as one point of the lead after a pair of free throws from Pharr in the final minute but the Pacers stretched the lead and entered the break with a 30-36 lead.

The Falcons were unable to cut into the Pacers lead in the third period as USC Aiken pushed the lead to as many as 10 points.  The Falcons trailed 49-39 at the end of the third period.

In the final period, Montevallo was unable to get back in the game as the Pacers held on to win 73-53.

STAT OF THE GAME

Albright led the Falcons with 13 points and also grabbed five rebounds against the Pacers.
