·        The Falcons had three players score in double figures in tonight's game. Jomekia Morine led Montevallo with 19 points in the game. D'Miyah Foster and Cheyenne Cunningham each netted 13 points.
·        Montevallo shot 33 percent from the field but struggled with shots behind the three-point line. The Falcons only shot 18 percent from long range.

RECAP
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The University of Montevallo women's basketball team was defeated 114-72 in their second of two games played this week in the state of California.
Montevallo is now 1-4 on the season while Point Loma moves to 4-0 on the season.
The Falcons led for most of the opening period as Montevallo kept pace with the Sea Lions. After trailing 5-2 early in the period, Paige Ward tied the game for the Falcons with a three-pointer with 6:24 remaining in the game. Kiya Sain gave the Falcons their first lead,7-5, of the game a few minutes later with a jump shot in the paint.
Montevallo was able to push their lead to as many as four points in the first period. Montevallo held off the Sea Lions offense and ended the period with a 20-18 advantage.
In the second period, the Falcons offense became stagnant as they were outscored in the period 31 to 14 by the Sea Lions who led 49-34 at halftime.
Montevallo was unable to recover from the deficit as Point Loma outscored the Falcons 65 to 28 in the second half.Â
