RECAP

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's basketball team was defeated 60-47 by Stillman College on Monday night.

The Falcons are now 2-4 overall on the season and have yet to secure a victory on the road this year.

Montevallo trailed for the entire game as Stillman jumped out to an early ten-point lead, a point deficit that the Tigers would hold most of the night.

The Falcons cut into the deficit and got within six points of the lead multiple times in the game but were unable to overcome the Tigers offensive attack.

Paige Ward led the Falcons in points scored by netting nine points in tonight's game.  Ward was 3-of-10 from the field and just 1-of-5 from behind the three-point arc.  Ward also grabbed three rebounds in her 35-minute performance.

The leading rebounder for the Falcons in the game was Kourtnie Smith who worked her way into the starting lineup for the first time this season.  Smith grabbed five boards for Montevallo with three of them coming on the offensive glass.
