GAME NOTES

  •  Montevallo shot 32 percent from the field in tonight's game.  From long range, the Falcons shot 36 percent.
  • Kiya Sain was the team leader in points scored with 14 points on the night.  Sain was 5-of-10 and was 1-of-1 from long range.  Sain also was 3-of-3 from the charity stripe.
  • Alba Perez was back in the lineup for the Falcons after spending the last three games on the bench due to an injury.  Perez was the Falcons leading rebounder with eight boards in the game.   Six of her rebounds came on the offensive glass.
  • Jomekia Morine also scored in double figures for the Falcons.  Morine scored 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field.

RECAP

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's basketball team was defeated 95-54 in a Gulf South Conference matchup with North Alabama.  

The Falcons struggled on the offensive side of the ball as the Lions were able to cruise to victory.

After scoring the first two baskets of the game, the Falcons offense went cold and the Lions took advantage by outscoring Montevallo 20-10 in the first period.

Montevallo was held to just nine points in the second period and entered halftime down 41-19 to North Alabama.

Montevallo came out of the break and outshot the Lions 25-22 in the third period but in the final period, their offense went cold once more.  The Lions closed out the final period by outscoring the Falcons 32-10.
