MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Falcons and the Chargers faced off as conference opponents for the first time since the 2008 season. Montevallo came away with a 2-0 victory over Alabama-Huntsville thanks to the quick foot of
Allye Darnell.
Darnell scored both Falcons' goals in tonight's victory. The first goal came shortly after kickoff in the 2
nd minute of play. Darnell found the back of the net for the second time this season to give Montevallo a 1-0 lead.
Darnell struck again in the 11
th minute to score the game-winning goal.
Hannah Waki and
Victoria Whitehouse assisted Darnell on her second goal of the game.

GAME NOTES
- The Falcons outshot the Chargers in tonight's victory and took 11 shots to UAH's 9. The Falcons shot effectively placing seven of their shots on frame.
- The Montevallo defense held strong and limited the attacking opportunities of the visiting Chargers. The Falcons held UAH to just two shots on goal the entire game.
- Allye Darnell was the leading Falcon in shots attempted in the game. Darnell shot the ball five times with three of them on frame.
