GAME NOTES

• Amanda Nugent recorded a double-double in the Falcons' loss to the Hawks.  Nugent recorded 15 kills and had 13 digs in the match.
• Hannah Fernandez led the team with three blocks in the game.
• Harley Masoner led the team with 25 assists in the match for the Falcons.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Set 1

• The Hawks jumped out to a big lead early in the set and never gave it up.  Montevallo struggled to find an offensive rhythm and the Hawks put Montevallo away 25-11.

 Set 2

• The second set of play was more tightly contested than the first.  Both teams used runs late in the game to keep it close.  However, Montevallo came out the victor in the set and closed out the set on a 6-1 run to win 27-25.

Set 3

• The third set was tightly contested just like the second set.  Montevallo got in a hole late in the set and fought back to take a 23-22 lead but the Hawks scored the final two points to take the set 25-23.

Set 4

• Shorter came into the fourth set and dominated from start to finish.  Montevallo tried to rally late but ran out of time as the Hawks won the set 25-17.
