HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- Both teams exchanged the lead early on in the set as Union looked to have control early on. Montevallo was down 9-7 and went on a five-point run to go ahead 12-9. Montevallo held the lead the rest of the set and used a seven-point run to take a 24-15 lead. Union went on a four-point rally to make it 24-19 in favor of the Falcons, but Montevallo responded with a kill from Simone Maxwell to end the set 25-19.
 Set 2
- Both teams exchanged points for the first part of the set. With the game tied at 13-13, Montevallo went on a six-point run to put the pressure on the Bulldogs at 19-13. Montevallo closed out the set with a 6-2 run to claim the 25-17 victory.
Set 3
- Montevallo controlled the set early on but Union was able to get back in it and took a 16-15 lead midway through the set. The Falcons retook the lead with a four-point run that made it 19-16. The teams exchanged points as the Falcons closed out the set for a 25-22 victory.
