- Mississippi College went on a 25-9 run in the second half, erasing the Falcons' 17-point lead over a span of eight minutes.
- Sophomore Micah Fuller knocked down a pair of free throws with 4:12 remaining in the contest to give Montevallo its last lead at 63-62 before the Choctaws closed out the game on a 11-7 run to secure the victory.

CLINTON, Miss. – The University of Montevallo men's basketball team fell on the road at Mississippi College 74-69 in its Gulf South Conference opener Nov. 29.
