  • Delta State shot 61 percent from the floor, including 50 percent from beyond the arc, while the Falcons shot just 35 percent from the field and 43 percent from 3-point range.
  • The Falcons again outrebounded their opponent for the seventh time in nine games with a 36-30 edge over the Statesmen, but Delta State owned a 28-22 advantage in points in the paint in the contest.
  • The Falcons' last lead in the game came at the 13:26 mark in the opening half when junior D'Angelo Streeter made a layup in the paint to give Montevallo a 11-9 advantage.

CLEVELAND, Miss. – The University of Montevallo men's basketball team dropped a Gulf South Conference contest on the road at Delta State University 77-68 in conference action Saturday, Dec. 1.
