GAME NOTES
- Nautika Philpot led the team with 14 points in the game on 5-of-13 shooting. She also went 2-of-2 from the three-point line. Philpot dished out an assist and had two steals for the Falcons.
- Kourtnie Smith continued to dominate on the boards and pulled down 10 rebounds for Montevallo. Smith was four points shy of a double-double and was held to 1-of-9 shooting from the field.
- Montevallo was held to just nine bench points in the game and held Tuskegee to just four points from their bench players.
- Tuskegee outscored the Falcons 15-8 in second-chance points.

TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's basketball program defeated the Tuskegee Golden Tigers 48-46 in a non-conference matchup.
Montevallo improved to 5-4 on the season with today's victory.
Both teams struggled to find an offensive rhythm in the game and it was feast or famine for both teams. Montevallo scored their fewest amount of points in the opening period of play when Tuskegee held them to seven total points.Â
Montevallo responded in the second period with a great offensive and defensive effort. In the second period, Montevallo outscored Tuskegee 14-8 to take a 21-20 lead into halftime.
After the halftime break, Montevallo came out flat and was outscored 18-9 in the third period. The Golden Tigers took a 38-30 lead and looked to have the game in control heading into the final period.Â
Montevallo responded with 18 points in the fourth period and held the Golden Tigers to eight points to pull ahead and claim the 48-46 victory.
Nautika Philpot led the Falcons with 14 points and was 5-of-13 from the field and went a perfect 2-of-2 from behind the three-point line.
Montevallo will resume conference play on Saturday, December 15
th against West Georgia. This will be the first home game for the Falcons in 35 days and also ends an eight-game road stretch.
