MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS

   •    Sophomore Shelby Lowery homered for the first time in her collegiate career and finished 2-for-4 at the plate while driving in four runs in the victory.

   •    Senior Kelsey Vining finished 4-for-5 at the plate with a triple and scored three runs.

•    Sophomore Mariel Bertossi finished 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in three runs.

•    Sophomore Holly LaForce finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double while driving in two runs and scoring two runs.

•    Senior Celestia Davila went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in one run.

•    Junior Jessica Boyd earned her first win in the circle after pitching two scoreless innings and surrendering just two hits.

•    Freshman Mychael McMillan closed out the game with one strikeout in two scoreless innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED

•    Lowery got the scoring started for the Falcons with a two-run double in the top of the first inning.

•    A two-run single by Bertossi helped extend the Falcons' lead to 7-3 in the top of the second inning.

•    Lowery's two-run homer in the top of the fourth inning pushed the Falcons' lead to 10-3.

•    Senior Kelsey Vining finished 4-for-5 at the plate with a triple and scored three runs.

MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS

   •    Senior Kelsey Vining led the Falcons as she finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run and scored two runs.

   •    Senior Darbi Duke went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in one run.

•    Sophomore Holly LaForce finished 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in two runs.

•    Junior Alexis Bonanno got the win in the circle after pitching the first two innings and a clean seventh inning with two strikeouts in the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

•    A RBI single to left field by LaForce drove in the first run in the game and gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

•    Lowery extended the Falcons' lead to 2-0 with a RBI ground out in the top of the third inning.

•    Vining blasted a solo home run to right-center field in the top of the fifth inning to push the Falcons' lead to 3-0.

•    Senior Dylan Bailey drove in a run with a RBI double down the left-field line in the top of the sixth inning to extend the Falcons' lead to 4-0, while another RBI ground out by senior Darbi Duke pushed the lead to 5-0 and a RBI single by LaForce gave the Falcons a 6-0 lead.
