MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
- Caleb Ledbetter led the Falcons and went 5-of-5 from the plate and also drove in two RBI.
- Ryan Brooks was 2-for-3 on the game with a run and an RBI.
- Cas Silber (5-3) got the start and the win for the Falcons and went 7 1/3 innings and allowed just five hits. Silber also struck out four batters in today's outing.
- Kale Lattore entered the game in the eighth inning and pitched 1 2/3 innings on his way to his fifth save of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- West Georgia scored the game's first run with a double that was hit down the left field line in the bottom of the second inning. A fielding error on the Falcons allowed the runner from third base to reach home and gave the Wolves a 1-0 lead.
- Montevallo got on the board with a run in the top of the sixth inning. Caleb Ledbetter scored from third on a wild pitch to make it a 1-1 ball game.
- Ryan Brooks added another run in the same frame when he doubled into centerfield and brought Chad Wagner around to give Montevallo a 2-1 lead.
- The Falcons broke the game open in the bottom of the ninth inning to take a 6-1 lead. After working the bases loaded, Montevallo earned two more walks to plate two runs. Caleb Ledbetter doubled into centerfield with the bases loaded that scored two runs. Â
