MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
- Chad Wagner was 2-of-4 in the game and hit a three-RBI home run in the fourth inning to score the go-ahead run for the Falcons.
- Sebastian Samuels had a two-RBI single to plate a pair of runs for Montevallo. Samuels was 1-of-4 on the day.
- Tyler Mattes got the start on the mound for the Falcons and gave up just one run off a solo home run in the second inning. Mattes struck out four batters and allowed two hits.
- Lucas Ellenburg was credited with his first win of the season and went pitched three innings. Ellenburg recorded two strikeouts and allowed just one hit.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Caleb Ledbetter got the Falcons on the board with a triple down the right-field line and scored Collin Dupree to give Montevallo a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
- In the second inning, the Golden Tigers' Tayari Albright hit a home run into left field to tie the game at 1-1.
- Chad Wagner went deep in the bottom of the fourth inning to add three runs (4-1) to the Falcons lead.
- Sebastian Samuels pushed the Falcons lead to 7-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning off a two-RBI single.
