Freshman Lauryn Garcia went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Sophomore Brianna Stella finished 1-for-3 at the plate.

Sophomore Haley Barnette scored the Falcons' lone run in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

West Florida took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning.

The Falcons tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning when sophomore Haley Barnette reached on a walk before scoring on a RBI single to center field by junior Lady Sarah Federico.

The Argonauts plated one run in the top of the sixth inning and one run in the top of the seventh inning to close out the game.

Senior Celestia Davila led the Falcons offensively as she finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple while driving in one run and scoring two runs.

Sophomore Holly LaForce went 2-for-2 at the plate while driving in two runs and scoring one run.

Freshman Lauryn Garcia finished 1-for-1 at the plate with a double while driving in one run and scoring two runs.

Senior Dylan Bailey went 1-for-1 with a double and drove in one run.

Sophomore Haley Barnette finished 1-for-4 at the plate with a double and drove in one run.

Junior Lady Sarah Federico went 1-for-4 at the plate.

Senior Kelsey Vining drove in two runs and scored one run in the win.

Senior Darbi Duke scored a pair of runs.

Junior Marisa Sosa scored one run in the victory.

Senior Kaitlynn Thomson drove in one run in the win.

Freshman Mychael McMillan pitched three scoreless innings and struck out two batters.

HOW IT HAPPENED

West Florida took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning.

The Falcons plated five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 5-1 lead following a RBI triple by senior Celestia Davila, a RBI sacrifice fly by sophomore Holly LaForce, a RBI sacrifice bunt by senior Kaitlynn Thomson and a RBI double by sophomore Haley Barnette wrapped around an error by the Argonauts.

West Florida trimmed the deficit 5-2 with a run in the top of the fifth inning.

Montevallo plated four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to push its lead to 9-2 following a RBI double by freshman Lauryn Garcia, a RBI single by Holly LaForce, a RBI double by senior Dylan Bailey and an error by West Florida.

The Argonauts scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning and one run in the top of the seventh inning, but couldn't get any closer.
