MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's lacrosse team lost to in-state rival Alabama-Huntsville 13-6 in GLVC play.
 
Kyle Nichols led the Falcons with three goals and he also had one assist to record four points in the game.
 
Jackson McKeague, Thomas Vaesen, and Spencer Seiler all recorded goals for the Falcons in the game with each player scoring just once.
 
Kyle Little recorded 15 saves in the game during his 60 minutes in goal.

KEY GOALS

1^st, 00:57 | Kyle Nichols scored his first goal of the night and got the Falcons on the board with an assist from Bailey Lapinksi.  Montevallo trailed 3-1 to the Chargers.
 
2^nd, 14:18 | Kyle Nichols scored on a pass from Blake Lowenberg to make it 3-2.
 
2^nd, 6:28 | Jackson McKeague made it a 5-3 game when he scored on an assist from Kyle Nichols.


2^nd, 2:54 | Thomas Vaesen was assisted by Alex Dozzi to pull the Falcons to within one goal of the lead at 5-4.
 
3^rd, 5:08 | Spencer Seiler scored an unassisted goal to make it 8-5 in favor of the Chargers.
 
4^th, 00:11 | Kyle Nichols scored his final goal of the game on an unassisted goal that made it 13-6.

GAME NOTES

• Alabama-Huntsville outshot the Falcons 46-21 in the game and held Montevallo to just two shots in the opening period of play, a game low.
• Of their 21 shots in the game, the Falcons placed 15 of them on goal.
• Groundballs were fairly even in the game with the Falcons holding a slight edge over the chargers 39-35.
