MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
- Khari Anderson and Sebastian Samuels were the only Falcons to record multiple hits in today's game. Anderson was 2-of-3 on the day and also drove in a run for the Falcons and scored once. Samuels was 2-of-4 from the dish and also scored once.
- Tyler Krabbe and Mark Castellucci each had an RBI for the Falcons with both of them coming in the bottom of the seventh inning.
- Cas Silber got the start for the Falcons in today's game and threw six innings of work. In his outing, Silber allowed seven hits and gave up two runs while notching three strikeouts.
- Kale Latorre (3-2) and Tanner Koch entered the game in relief for the Falcons. Latorre threw two innings of work and gave up 6 runs on 4 hits while being credited with the loss. Koch pitched in the ninth inning and faced two batters who both drew walks off the senior pitcher.
- Justin Whitley entered the game in the ninth inning and tossed 2/3 of an inning of work.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Delta State broke the deadlock in the top of the sixth inning by plating two runs to take a 2-0 lead over the Falcons.
- The Statesmen plated another run in the top of the seventh inning off a bunt to lead the Falcons 3-0.
- Tyler Krabbe put the Falcons on the board when he grounded out to third base and scored Jared Nixon to make it a 3-1 ball game in the bottom of the seventh inning.
- On the next at-bat, Khari Anderson drove in Sebastian Samuels with a double into left field to make it 3-2.
- The Falcons tied the game when Mark Castellucci drove in Anderson to tie the game at 3-3.
- In the top of the eighth inning, Delta State plated five runs to take a commanding 8-3 lead. The Statesmen followed up the grand slam with a solo home run.
- In the top of the ninth inning, Delta State added four more runs off another grand slam into left field to lead 12-3.
