MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
  

Junior Lady Sarah Federico finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and scored the Falcons' lone run in the game.

Senior Kelsey Vining went 1-for-3 at the plate.

Sophomore Holly LaForce finished 1-for-2 at the plate.

Freshman Lauryn Garcia drove in the Falcons' lone run in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 




Mississippi College plated three runs in the bottom of the first inning on a pair of home runs to take an early 3-0 lead.
 

The Choctaws added two more runs on a home run in the bottom of the third inning to extend their lead to 5-0.

The Falcons plated their first run in the contest in the top of the fourth inning when junior Lady Sarah Federico lined a double off the wall in left-center field before scoring later in the frame on a RBI groundout by freshman Lauryn Garcia, which trimmed the deficit to 5-1.
 


Mississippi College scored another run in the bottom of the fourth inning to push its lead to 6-1.

The Choctaws scored their final three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to end the game with a 9-1 final score.

UP NEXT

The Falcons will take on No. 8 seed Lee University in an elimination game Friday, May 4 at 12:30 p.m.
