 HOW IT HAPPENED

Set 1

• After surrendering the first point of the match to Mount Olive, the Falcons responded with back-to-back points to take an early 2-1 lead in the opening set.
• With the first set tied at 2-2, Montevallo went on a 7-0 run to take a 9-2 lead in the set.
• Montevallo put the set away when they went on a 5-0 run later in the set to take a commanding 19-10 lead over the Trojans.
• Mount Olive rallied back late in the set with a 6-0 run of their own, but it wasn't enough as the Falcons held off the Trojans and claimed the set 25-21.

Set 2

·         The Trojans struck first again before Montevallo answered back with a pair of points to lead 2-1.

·         With the score at 8-7 in favor of the Falcons, Montevallo strung together four straight points to go up on the Trojans 12-7.

·         Mount Olive took a 15-14 lead midway through the set, but Montevallo kept fighting back.  The Falcons closed out the set with an eight-point run to go up 2-0 on the Trojans.

SET 3

·         The Falcons found themselves in a hole early in the third set as the Trojans took a 6-2 lead.

·         Mount Olive looked to have the set in control as they held an 18-10 lead over the Falcons.  Montevallo went on a 14-1 run to come back and claim the match in three straight sets.

• Brioni Dixon led the way for the Falcons offensively, registering nine total kills in the match.
• Brie Blume was one kill shy of the leader in the match with eight total kills.
• Blume also had four aces in the game for the Falcons.
• Dixon also led the team in blocks with five blocks in the match
• Harley Masoner and Savannah Roys split time at setter for the Falcons and Masoner led the team with 15 assists and Roys registered 14.

 HOW IT HAPPENED

Set 1

• The Falcons opened up the first set with a 6-0 run on Albany State and never looked back.
• Montevallo led by as much as 12 points as the Golden Rams didn't have an answer for the Falcon's attack.
• Montevallo closed out the set on a 4-1 run to claim the 25-15 victory in the opening set.

Set 2

·         The second set went much like the first as the Falcons jumped out to another 6-0 lead on Albany State.

·         The Golden Rams were never able to close the gap as Montevallo took the second set 25-13

SET 3

·         Albany State took an early 2-0 lead over the Falcons, but Montevallo came back with a 4-0 run early on in the set to take a 5-3 lead.

·         Montevallo closed out the set on an 11-1 run to take the third set 25-10 and sweep their second set of the day.
