GAME NOTES

·         Amanda Nugent led the team in kills with eight during the match.  Hannah Fernandez (6) and Evelina Teran (6) also found themselves at the top of the stat sheet in the offensive column.

·         Brioni Dixon, Savannah Roys, and Hannah Fernandez each had two service aces in tonight's match.

·         Harley Masoner and Savannah Roys continued to split time at the setter position with Masoner getting credit for 19 assists and Roys getting 18.

 HOW IT HAPPENED

Set 1

·         Montevallo dominated the set from the very beginning and took control early in the set with a 5-0 run that made it 7-4.

·         Two points later, the Falcons took a 12-1 run to take a commanding 19-7 lead over the Golden Bears.

·         Montevallo put the game away with a 5-1 run to finish the set to win 25-10.

Set 2

·         Miles opened the set with six unanswered points before the Falcons cut the lead in half with a three-point run of their own to trail 6-3 early in the set.

·         Trailing the Golden Bears 10-5, the Falcons put together a 13-1 run to take a commanding 18-11 lead that they would not relinquish.

·         Montevallo closed out the set on a four-point run to win the set 25-15.,

Set 3

·         Montevallo commanded the set from the beginning and smothered the Golden Bears defensively and won the set in dominating fashion 25-8 to complete the three-set sweep.
