HOW IT HAPPENED

42' | Freshman Medhali Hernandez gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead just before halftime when sophomore Kira Bochard played the ball into the middle of the box to sophomore Kristen Chance, who dropped it off directly at the feet of Hernandez and she fired a shot into the left corner.
77' | Sophomore Hannah Waki received the first of the Falcons' two yellow cards in the match.
86' | Senior Tayler Kukes was booked nine minutes later, which set up the equalizer by West Georgia when Julian Atenza blasted a direct shot on a free kick off the fingertips of freshman goalkeeper Annie Mason to tie the contest at 1-1.
90' | The Wolves scored the game-winner in the opening minute of overtime when Jazmine Santiago gave up a decent look at the frame and fed the ball over to Rachel Lane, who planted a shot into the upper left corner to clinch the victory.

- West Georgia edged the Falcons, who entered the match with a No. 8 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Association NCAA Division II South Region rankings, in a similar fashion as the 2-1 overtime win by Montevallo against the Wolves in the Gulf South Conference opener a year ago.
