GAME NOTES
  • Despite a slim 39-36 advantage in rebounds, Montevallo finished with a 14-7 edge on the offensive boards while dominating in the paint and outscoring Auburn-Montgomery 34-16 in the lane.
  • The Falcons also led the Warhawks 14-5 in second-chance points and 15-8 in points off turnovers following 18 turnovers by Auburn-Montgomery.
  • Montevallo shot 50 percent from the floor (7-of-14), while the Warhawks shot just 20 percent (1-of-5) from the field in the fourth period as the Falcons outscored Auburn-Montgomery 28-12 in the final quarter in the comeback victory.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's basketball team overcame a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat rival Auburn-Montgomery 61-56 in Gulf South Conference play Jan. 19.
Despite a slim 39-36 advantage in rebounds, Montevallo finished with a 14-7 edge on the offensive boards while dominating in the paint and outscoring Auburn-Montgomery 34-16 in the lane.
