  • Montevallo sophomore Micah Fuller drained a pair of go-ahead free throws with 26 seconds remaining and junior Carl Johnson intercepted an inbounds pass with 3.1 seconds left to seal the victory.
  • The Falcons outscored Valdosta State 17-8 in second-chance points despite being outrebounded 34-33 in the contest.
  • The Montevallo bench outscored its counterparts from Valdosta State 38-24 with junior Carl Johnson leading the way with 15 points and seven rebounds off the bench.
  • The Falcons raced out to a 19-12 lead after junior Cam Copeland drained a 3-pointer with 12:48 remaining in the opening half.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's basketball team defeated Valdosta State University 67-65 in thrilling fashion in front of a packed Robert M. McChesney Student Activity Center in a Gulf South Conference contest Jan. 24.

Sophomore Micah Fuller drained a pair of go-ahead free throws with 26 seconds remaining and junior Carl Johnson intercepted an inbounds pass with 3.1 seconds left to seal the victory.
