MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team fell to the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers 3-0 in the Falcons' seventh Gulf South Conference matchup of the season.
Montevallo fell to the Chargers 25-21 in the first set, 25-22 in the second set, and 25-20 in the third set.
The Falcons fell to 10-9 overall and 4-3 in conference play. UAH improved to 13-5 overall and 6-1 in the GSC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- Montevallo controlled the first set early on but a four point run midway through by the Chargers saw the home team take control.
- UAH topped the Falcons 25-21 in the first.
Set 2
- After UAH controlled the second set early on, a seven point run gave the Falcons a 15-12 lead.
- The Chargers and Falcons traded points down the stretch before UAH pulled away with a three-point run to win 25-22.
SET 3
- Montevallo and UAH battled early in the third set before the Chargers jumped out to a 19-11 lead.
- The Falcons rallied seven points to come within two of the Chargers 21-19, but UAH closed out Montevallo down the stretch to win 25-20.
After falling behind 2-0 in the match to the Argos, the Falcons responded with wins in the third and fourth before falling in the fifth and falling in the match 3-2.
