GAME NOTES
  • Both the Falcons (23-of-58) and the Bulldogs (27-of-66) shot 40 percent from the floor, but the difference came from beyond the arc as Union shot 41 percent (14-of-34) and Montevallo made just 26 percent (8-of-30) of its attempts from 3-point range.
  • Montevallo outrebounded the Bulldogs 36-35, but Union held a 11-8 advantage on the offensive boards.
  • Union outscored the Falcons in the paint 24-14 and in bench points with a 29-16 edge off the bench.
  • The Falcons jumped out to a 5-0 lead following a jumper and a 3-pointer by sophomore Micah Fuller in the first two minutes of the contest.
