MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS

• Junior Haley Barnette finished 2-for-3 at the plate.
• Junior Brianna Stella finished 1-for-3 from the plate.
• Senior Marisa Sosa finished 1-for-1 from the plate and scored one run.
• Sophomore Mychael McMillan recorded nine strikeouts in seven innings pitched.

 HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lady Statesmen led 2-0 after two solo home runs in the top of the sixth and seventh inning.
• With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, Senior Marisa Sosa doubled to left field. Sosa later scored the lone run for Montevallo on a wild pitch.
