MONTEVALLO, Ala. – University of Montevallo juniors Haley Barnette and Sebastian Samuels have been named the Falcons' Student-Athletes of the Week.

HALEY BARNETTE (SOFTBALL)

Barnette batted .571 (4-for-7) with two home runs and a total of three extra-base hits in the Falcons' series against West Alabama in Gulf South Conference play. Barnette drove in four runs and scored four runs in the series. Barnette finished 2-for-2 at the plate with a solo home run and a double while driving in two runs and scoring two runs in the Falcons' 8-7 walk-off win over West Alabama in the final game of the series.

SEBASTIAN SAMUELS (BASEBALL)

Samuels finished a doubleheader against West Alabama 5-for-8 at the plate with two home runs while driving in five runs and scoring five runs. Samuels doubled his season total of two homers heading into the weekend.
