  • Junior Holly LaForce finished 2-for-2 at the plate with a double while driving in two runs and scoring one run.
  • Junior Mariel Bertossi went 1-for-3 at the plate with a grand-slam home run while driving in four runs and scoring one run.
  • Junior Haley Barnette finished 1-for-2 at the plate with a home run while driving in two runs and scoring one run.
  • Sophomore Brooke Ingram went 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and scored one run.
  • Junior Brianna Stella finished 1-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs.
  • Sophomore Carlee Mullinax went 1-for-2 at the plate.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Montevallo took a 5-0 lead in the top of the second inning on a RBI double to center field by sophomore Brooke Ingram and a grand-slam home run by junior Mariel Bertossi.
  • The Falcons extended their lead to 8-0 in the top of the third inning following a RBI double to left field by junior Holly LaForce and a two-run blast by junior Haley Barnette.

UP NEXT

The Falcons will return to action next weekend with a three-game Gulf South Conference series against the University of West Georgia at Orr Park.
