HOW IT HAPPENED
- Abby Krueger drove in one run in the bottom of the first inning and added a RBI double in the bottom of the third inning to help give Auburn-Montgomery an early 2-0 lead.
- The Warhawks added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on a RBI double by Parker Pinholster and a RBI sacrifice bunt by Krueger to take a 4-0 lead.
- Montevallo plated its run in the top of the sixth inning when junior Haley Barnette scored on a RBI single down the right-field line by senior Lady Sarah Federico.
- Auburn-Montgomery plated its final two runs on a RBI single by Morgan Duschell and a RBI single by Olivia Aycock in the bottom of the sixth inning.

- Senior Marisa Sosa finished 1-for-2 at the plate with a home run while driving in one run and scoring one run.
- Junior Holly LaForce went 1-for-2 at the plate and drove in one run.
- Junior Brianna Stella finished 1-for-3 at the plate and scored one run.
- Sophomore Alexis Cortez went 1-for-3 at the plate.
- Sophomore Carlee Mullinax finished 1-for-3 at the plate.
- Junior Mariel Bertossi went 1-for-4 at the plate.
- Junior Haley Barnette finished 1-for-4 at the plate.
- Senior Abbey Pratt pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief with one strikeout and one walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Auburn-Montgomery took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning on a RBI triple to left field by Jasmine Thompson and a two-run homer by Jaycie Walker.
- The Falcons trimmed the deficit to 3-1 in the top of the sixth inning on a RBI single by junior Holly LaForce.
- Montevallo cut the Warhawks' lead to 3-2 in the top of the seventh inning following a solo homer by senior Marisa Sosa, but the Falcons left two runners stranded on base to end the game.
UP NEXT
The Falcons will return to action Friday, March 8 in the first game of a three-game Gulf South Conference series against in-state rival West Alabama at 6 p.m. at Orr Park.
