MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
  • Sophomore Brooke Ingram finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and scored two runs, including the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
  • Senior Marisa Sosa went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
  • Sophomore Carlee Mullinax finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a home run, which tied the game in the bottom of the seventh inning, while driving in one run and scoring one run.
  • Senior Lady Sarah Federico went 1-for-3 at the plate and drove in one run.
  • Junior Brianna Stella finished 1-for-3 at the plate.
  • Senior Amanda Ingram and sophomore Mychael McMillan combined to pitch three scoreless innings in relief, with Ingram striking out one batter and McMillan registering three strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • West Georgia scored the first run in the game in the top of the first inning on an error by the Falcons.
  • The Wolves added another run in the top of the third inning on a RBI groundout by Ashley Ellison to push their lead to 2-0.
  • The Falcons trimmed the deficit to 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning on a RBI single by senior Lady Sarah Federico.
  • Sophomore Carlee Mullinax tied the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with her solo home run before sophomore Brooke Ingram reached on an infield single before scoring on a RBI walk-off single by senior Marisa Sosa.

The Falcons will travel to Mobile, Alabama to take on Spring Hill College in a doubleheader Wednesday, March 27 at 2 p.m.
