MONTEVALLO, Ala. - University of Montevallo senior Alexis Berger and sophomore Georg Trompler have been named the Falcons' Student-Athletes of the week for the week of April 1.
Alexis Berger (Women's Golf)
Berger led the Falcons at the West Georgia Invitational after finishing fifth in the individual standings, helping the team post a top-three finish. The Alabaster, Alabama native completed the three-round event with a 12-over 228 and carded the lowest round by a Montevallo golfer with her 2-over par 74 in the first round.
Georg Trompler (Men's Tennis)
Trompler defeated a nationally-ranked player for the second time this season in conference play last weekend. The sophomore defeated 11th-ranked Valdosta State's Jordi Mas 7-5, 6-2 in the No. 2 singles' match. The German native helped the Falcons achieve their highest national ranking in program history last week checking in at No. 35 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II rankings.
