MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
  • Junior Sebastian Samuels finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of home runs while driving in three runs and scoring three runs.
  • Senior Tyler Krabbe went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and scored one run.
  • Freshman Ben Teel finished 1-for-2 at the plate with a double and drove in two runs.
  • Freshman Ty Wooton went 1-for-3 at the plate and drove in one run.
  • Junior Davis Lott finished 1-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs.
  • Senior Khari Anderson went 1-for-1 at the plate.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After the Flames jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, junior Sebastian Samuels blasted a two-run homer in the top of the second inning to tie the game at 2-2.
  • Lee scored four runs to extend its lead to 6-2 in the bottom of the third inning.
  • Montevallo trimmed the deficit to 6-4 following a two-run double by freshman Ben Teel in the top of the fourth inning.
  • The Flames added four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and one run in the bottom of the fifth inning to extend their lead to 11-4.
  • The Falcons cut the Flames' lead to 11-6 following a solo home run by Samuels and a RBI single by freshman Ty Wooton in the top of the sixth inning.
  • Lee capped the scoring in the game with five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The Falcons will host Miles College in a non-conference game Tuesday, April 23 at Kermit A. Johnson Field at Bob Riesener Stadium. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
