HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning following a RBI sacrifice fly by senior Jason Cryar, which scored leadoff hitter Jake Morris after he reached on a single to left field and moved into scoring position on a pair of wild pitches.
- Montevallo extended its lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the third inning following a three-run home run to right field by junior Davis Lott and a RBI ground out by junior Jake Morris.
- The Falcons added to their lead in the bottom of the fourth inning following a two-run blast to right-center field by Lott, which pushed the Falcons' lead to 7-0.
- Montevallo pushed its lead to 11-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning following a RBI ground out by Morris, a two-run homer down the left-field line by senior Tyler Krabbe and a RBI single to left field by junior Chance Foss.
- The Falcons extended their lead to 14-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning following a two-run homer to left field by freshman Ben Teel and a RBI infield single by senior John Michael Reed.
- Montevallo plated its final run on a RBI single by freshman Zack Tong in the bottom of the eighth inning.
- Miles College scored its lone run on a RBI double by Gage Humphries in the top of the ninth inning.
