CLINTON, Miss. – The University of Montevallo men's tennis team edged host Mississippi College 4-3 in a Gulf South Conference match April 20.
The Falcons improved to 9-7 overall and 4-4 in Gulf South Conference play with the victory.
Sophomore
Georg Trompler defeated Maksym Konovalov of Mississippi College 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles' match.
Sophomore
Daniel Del Val topped the Choctaws' Shane Samyn 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 in the No. 3 singles' match.
Freshman
Tobias Rauch took down Brady McDaniel of Mississippi College 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 5 singles' match. Freshman
Dylan Valentine edged the Choctaws' Ben Jarvis 7-5, 7-5 in the No. 6 singles' match.
The Falcons will return to action Wednesday, April 24 with a Gulf South Conference match against Auburn-Montgomery.
