MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's lacrosse team fell to No.9 University of Indianapolis 14-12 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest April 6.
Sophomore
Thomas Vaesen scored a team-high five goals for the Falcons, who fell to 4-8 overall on the season and 1-3 in conference play.

Luke Stephens finished 15-of-27 in face-off opportunities and recorded a team-high eight ground balls.

Kyle Little recorded 21 saves and registered a .600 save percentage in the loss.

Kordell Primus picked up the groundball off the faceoff and went straight to goal, scoring unassisted, to cut the Indianapolis lead to 9-7.

Chaiton Williams scored off an assist from Vaesen.
4th (13:41) | Vaesen netted his fifth goal of the game, assisted by Cloutier, trimming the Indianapolis lead to 12-11.
4th (10:46) | After two goals by the Greyhounds, Cloutier scored off an assist from Ross to trail 14-12.
GAME NOTES
- Indianapolis outshot the Falcons 61-28 in the contest. The Greyhounds placed 35 shots on goal while the Falcons placed just 17 on goal.
- The Falcons turned the ball over 25 times, compared to 13 turnovers by the Greyhounds.
- Montevallo finished with a 16-13 edge in face offs.
- The Greyhounds compiled 47 ground balls compared to 32 ground balls by Montevallo.
- Indianapolis cleared 17 of 19 attempts while Montevallo finished just 13-21 in clears.
- Montevallo totaled 22 saves in the contest compared to five for Indianapolis.
