HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- After trading the first couple points in the first set, the Falcons went on a nine point run, capped with a kill by Danielle Lee, to lead Tuskegee 11-2.
- Tuskegee was able to make it 16-11 in favor of the Falcons before Montevallo went on another run moving the score to 19-11, capped with a kill by Evelina Teran.
- Montevallo closed out the first set on a five-point run, winning 25-13 to open the match.
 Set 2
- Montevallo and Tuskegee battled early in the second set, each trading points. Down 8-7, the Falcons responded with a four-point run, taking the lead 11-8, capped by a kill from Teran.
- The Golden Tigers attempted to catch up to the Falcons, coming within two points, down 14-16, before Montevallo scored seven straight to lead 23-14.
- Montevallo finished off the Tigers in the second set 25-16, following a kill from Lee.
Set 3
- The Falcons fell behind early in the third set as Tuskegee jumped out to a 3-0 lead.
- Montevallo responded scoring three straight points, tying the game 3-3.
- The Falcons and Golden Tigers traded points until Montevallo pulled ahead 11-7 following a kill from freshman Morgan Hoffman.
- Montevallo continued to gain momentum, jumping out to a 23-13 lead.
- The Falcons won the third set 25-16 following an attacking error by the Golden Tigers.

Montevallo will travel to St. Charles, Missouri this weekend for the Lindenwood Invitational Tournament. The Falcons will take on Ohio Dominican University and William Jewell College on Friday Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
