ARKADELPHIA, Ark — In its inaugural season, the University of Montevallo women's swim team got its first victory in program history, when the Falcons beat Iowa Central Community College, 120-78, to cap a two-day meet.

The historic moment for the Montevallo women's swim team came after dropping a 126-78 contest against Henderson State University.

The men's team fell short to Iowa Central CC and Henderson State, but showed promise as Thom Naccarato set a new personal record in the 100 yard freestyle among several others who were close to setting new records. 

The Falcons look forward to building on this momentum at their next meet which will take place at Birmingham Southern on Friday, Jan. 17 at 3:00PM.
