MONTEVALLO, Ala - The University of Montevallo women's tennis team fell to No. 7 West Florida, 7-0, on Saturday at the University of Montevallo Tennis Courts. 

The Argos come in ranked No. 7 nationally but only ranked No. 3 in the South region which shows how competitive the region is that UM is a part of. 

The Falcons were swept 6-0 in the singles matches making it tough for them to collect a victory on the day. 

UM did see success in doubles coming from freshman Mireia Turro and junior Dorotea Hanzek who beat the No. 9 ranked combo of #1 Berta Bonardi and Samantha Echevarria.  UWF ultimately collected the doubles point which further solidified their 7-0 match win.
 


NEXT UP: The Falcons will be back at the Montevallo Tennis Courts Thursday February 27 starting at 1:00PM as they take on Shorter University.
