MONTEVALLO, AL— The Montevallo women's tennis team defeated conference opponent Shorter University 6-1 on Thursday afternoon at the Montevallo Tennis Complex. The Falcons are now 3-1 (2-1 GSC) this season, while the Shorter Hawks fall to 1-5 (0-4 GSC).

Mireia Turro won 6-1 at the number 1 doubles position to stay perfect and move to 4-0 this spring in doubles play.
Freshman
Victoria Rauscher from Ingolstodt, Germany made her debut for the Falcons and picked up victories at the number 3 doubles spot with teammate
Cyba Ozzor and at the number 6 singles position.
NEXT UP: The Falcons are back in action tomorrow, February 28
th, at 1:00 pm as they host regional foe Spring Hill at the UM Tennis Complex.
