MONTEVALLO, AL—The Montevallo men's tennis team defeated GSC foe Shorter 7-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Montevallo Tennis Complex. The Falcons move to 2-2 (2-1 GSC) on the season while the Hawks fall to 1-4 (0-4 GSC).
Junior
Georg Trompler, ranked 40th nationally and 14th regionally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, improved his singles record to 2-0 this spring by defeating Jan Kos 6-0, 6-2 at the number 1 position.
James Bloomer and
Brecht Van Buggenhout stayed perfect in doubles action this spring as the junior tandem took down Jean De Lavallade and Kirandevaa Namadevan at the number 2 slot.
Juniors
Alejandro Dorado and
Sergi Martinez teamed up for the first time this season to defeat Blakely Bottegal and Alex Fitzgerald 6-2 at the number 3 doubles position.
