COLUMBUS, Ga. - The University of Montevallo women's tennis team fell to the #12 Flagler Saints 5-2 on Friday afternoon at a neutral site match in Columbus, Georgia. The Falcons drop to 4-2 on the season while the Saints, members of the Peach Belt Conference, improve to 6-3 this year.
The Falcons pushed Flagler to the brink in doubles, but fell 7-6(5) and 7-5 at lines two and three, respectively.

Amanda Gautreaux picked up her 50
th career singles win with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at line four over Flagler's Amelie Vossgaetter. Gautreaux currently leads the Falcons in singles victories this spring with five.
Reigning GSC Freshman of the Week
Mireia Turro stunned Flagler's Eden Schlagenhauf, the #14 ranked player in NCAA Division II and #2 ranked player in the Southeast region, in a match tiebreak at line one singles.
The Falcons are back in action tomorrow afternoon for another non-conference matchup, this time against #3 Columbus State in Columbus, Georgia.
