MEMPHIS - The Falcons needed a win badly after losing their last five matches. A road win against Christian Brothers was just what the doctor ordered as UM rolled past the Buccaneers 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 on Friday night. With the win, the Falcons improved to 9-11 and 3-5 in the Gulf South Conference, while CBU fell to 2-18 and 0-8.
Evelina Teran had 11 kills, three blocks and an ace to lead the Falcons.
Colton Thompson added 20 assists and
Casey Hendrixson finished with 13 digs.
As a team, the Falcons had 35 kills in 89 attempts, with 16 errors for a hitting percentage of .213. Meanwhile, was held to a hitting percentage of -.064 after committing 27 errors in 94 attempts and only 21 kills.
The Falcons look to make it two straight when they visit Union University on Saturday in another GSC clash.
