MONTEVALLO – The Montevallo volleyball team ended their GSC weekend series with a 3-0 loss to #15 West Florida.  With the loss the Falcons are now 8-10 on the season with a 2-4 GSC record and the Argos advance to 19-1 with a 7-0 conference record.

Montevallo competed in the first set but the Argos opened up a nine-point lead midway through the first set that UM struggled to recover from.  Montevallo would drop set one 25-17.

The Falcons fought in the second game going back and fourth between UWF.  Montevallo experienced a two point lead early in the set but West Florida took control ending the set with 25-14 win.

UM battled in set three staying closer to the Argos throughout the set than in the two prior sets of the game.  The Argos ultimately edged the Falcons 25-19 in the third set to take the 3-0 victory.

The Falcons attack was led by Macy Martin who put down nine kills, with seven digs, three blocks, and an assist.  Casey Hendrixson anchored the defense for UM with 10 digs along with three assists.
